Ondo appoints first female secretary to government, breaks history

Ondo state governor has appointed the first female secretary to the state government SSG Princess Catherine Odu.

The chief press secretary to the governor, Mr. Richard Olatunde who disclosed this to Newsmen in Akure the state capital hinged that the former chairman of the state universal Basic Education Board SUBEB appointment is as a result of the outstanding record of performance she had in her previous assignment.

Others appointed are the immediate past head of the state public service, Mr Dare Aragbaye as Special Adviser on union matters and special , Mrs Olubunmi Adeosu as the special adviser, Public and intergovernmental relations, Hon. Babatunde Kolawole as special adviser, Rural and Community Development and Mr Sunny Francis as Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship Development.

 

Meanwhile, the appointees will be sworn in by the governor on Monday, March 22 2021 as the appointment takes effect immediately.

 

While congratulating the new appointees, Akeredolu urged them to discharge their duties with utmost responsibilities deserving of the new office and the accompanying responsibilities.
